Overview

Status Saver ("the App") is a WhatsApp status saver utility that allows users to view, download, and save status images and videos posted by their WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business contacts. The App works by accessing the locally stored WhatsApp status files on your device. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your information.

The App's sole purpose is to help users save WhatsApp statuses (photos and videos) that would otherwise disappear after 24 hours. It does not interact with WhatsApp's servers or APIs in any way — it only reads status files already downloaded to your device by the official WhatsApp application.

Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect any of the following:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• Usage analytics or tracking data
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Crash reports or diagnostics sent to external servers
• Any data transmitted over the internet

Storage & Permissions

The App requests storage-related permissions solely to perform its WhatsApp status saving functionality:

• Read access — to browse WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business status media stored locally on your device, using Android's Storage Access Framework (SAF) on Android 11 and above.
• Write access — to save copies of WhatsApp status images and videos to the App's private storage on your device.
• Media permissions — on Android 13+, to access images and videos through the system's granular media permissions.

All WhatsApp status files and saved media stay entirely on your device. The App does not upload, transmit, or share any files or data with any server, third party, or external service.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party services such as analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or social media SDKs. No data is shared with any third party.

Internet Access

The App does not require internet access and does not make any network requests. It operates entirely offline on your device.

Data Retention

Saved status media and app preferences (theme, settings) are stored locally on your device. You can delete saved media from within the App or by clearing the App's data through your device settings.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since the App does not collect any personal data from any user, it is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
